Believe in Miami
May 13, 2012

Training Camp   The Miami Dolphins mini camps have begun the draft is behind us and the start of training camp just a few months away. General Manager Jeff Ireland has probably had his best draft class to date and this season will begin to reveal the success of his body of work. Although his work is not done because there will be several veteran wide receivers released who could be added to this roster to either push some of our younger players who need to step up or become one of the pieces this team needs to transition this team back to it’s winning tradition. One of those younger receivers is Clyde Gates who is hoping the fans will embrace his movement called “BIM” which means, Believe in Miami. Clyde clearly believes in Miami and he wants our passionate fans to get behind him and his teammates and Believe in Miami again. I believe this team will return to greatness and this once storied franchise will be one of the most respected again. It all begins right now with effort in the mini camps and the coaching later this summer in training camp. Go Dolphins…

QB Ryan Tannehill
April 27, 2012

Ryan Tannehill   The Miami Dolphins with the eighth pick of the 2012 National Football League Draft select Ryan Tannehill from Texas A&M. I can’t say the pick surprised me because there was so much talk about the possibility of selecting Ryan Tannehill in the first round with the eighth pick. I personally liked Brandon Weeden who was chosen by the Cleveland Browns. The selection of Ryan Tannehill answers the question of why Matt Flynn was not a serious consideration and Ryan Tannehill was actually chosen to become a Miami Dolphin. I believe with the right receivers Matt Moore will be successful with this offense. There is no pressure on Ryan Tannehill to start but following in the footsteps of Bob Griese and Dan Marino both Hall of Fame quarterbacks selected by this organization with the number one pick sure has some big shoes to fill. Jeff Ireland just bought himself some job security for the next few years. Some fans won't like it but if things don't go well this season, they have bought themselves some time because Ryan Tannehill will not start in 2012. Go Dolphins…

Unlocked Communication
April 7, 2012

Stephen Ross   In recent NFL Owners meetings Stephen Ross talked about his team becoming more transparent. Also in a recent local sports article Ross was quoted saying, “I would just want to thank the really good fans. We’re going to be engaging with you a lot more the fans. I think you’re going to see a different organization. You saw what we did here when we visited newspapers. We’re going to be a lot more responsive and I think you’re going to see that in the future.” The communication lockout from the last regime has been squashed. Ross has opened the door of communication with our local sports media so we the fans can get a better understanding of some of the decisions being made without sacrifice to their ongoing strategy. The opportunity to speak with members of the Dolphins organization is one of the many benefits of becoming a Season Ticket Member. For more information on other season ticket benefits or to become a Season Ticket Member, please call 1-888-FINS-TIX. Good Luck Mr Ross and Go Dolphins...

Owner Calls Fan
March 25, 2012

Stephen Ross   Dolphins owner Stephen Ross reached out to protesting fan Jason Lawrence a season ticket holder for over twenty years. Mr Ross explained Brandon Marshall would have been cut from the team had not Chicago offered two third round picks for him. Ross further explained moving Brandon Marshall had nothing to do with money and everything to do with protecting the team moral. Ross also said he would not spend eight million dollars a year on Matt Flynn or Alex Smith when Matt Moore was basically the same quarterback. Ross was clear, we did want Peyton Manning and things just didn't work out. The Tim Tebow situation was just not an option for the Dolphins unless he could help the team win. Ross said he was remorseful about cutting the former team captain who led the team in tackles for four consecutive years in saftey Yeremiah Bell. Ross explained he is 100 percent committed to winning and would sit with the fans and pound his chest. Ross said, I didn't buy this team to make money or run a business. I'm passionate and I want to win. I don't know of another owner here in South Florida who stopped and took the time to reach out to the teams fan base. Good Luck Mr Ross and Go Dolphins...

Fans Disgusted
March 18, 2012

Dolphin Fan   Miami Dolphins fans voice their displeasure on media outlets all over South Florida. FinFan23 posted his comments on MiamiDolphins.com and ProFootBallTalk.com after reading reports that advise the Dolphins organization were low balling Matt Flynn in contract negotiations. If the Dolphins lose out on the opportunity to secure Matt Flynn you will see plenty of orange seats this season if any games get televised. FinFan23 posted; "This makes me physically sick… I guess the Dolphins’ Front Office is TRYING to drive away the fans. Good job Mr. Ross, you have officially alienated your fan-base yet again. To think I was actually considering renewing my season tickets. What a joke. As a life-long Dolphins fan, it is sad for me to say that I am tired of being mediocre, and irrelevant. Quit focusing on the glitz and glamour of the “Night-Life” atmosphere, and concentrate on putting people in the seats to watch what USED TO BE one of the greatest franchises in NFL history. This has to be the most inept, incompetent front office in franchise, if not NFL history. I am ashamed to be a Dolphins fan right now."

Hiring Quarterback
March 4, 2012

Payton Manning   We are still several weeks away from the 2012 NFL Draft but things are already looking brighter for the Miami Dolphins with the flip of a coin. The Carolina Panthers and Miami Dolphins were dead locked for the eighth position in this years draft when NFL executives decided the pick with an old fashioned coin toss. The Dolphins won the flip and moved one step closer to getting one of the top quarterbacks in the 2012 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, The Dolphins picking in the eighth position really does nothing to secure one of the top quarterbacks for this franchise. Andrew Luck expected to go with the first round pick to the Indianapolis Colts and RG3 or Robert Griffin III is expected to be gone soon after the first pick. There is a lot of talk about Payton Manning and his ability to play along with Matt Flynn who coach Philbin knows very well and finally Ryan Tannehill who coach Sherman worked with at Texas A&M. We know money is not an issue for Stephen Ross but this decision could haunt him for a long time to come if it's not the right one. Go Dolphins…

Football Hibernation
February 18, 2012

Proposed Stadium Improvements   The New York Giants are Super Bowl Champions and football goes on hiatus until the 2012 NFL Draft. The Marlins have moved out of the stadium and the Dolphins organization prepares for the 50th anniversary Super Bowl bid. I really liked the proposed stadium improvments which included upgrading the lower level seating to bring the fans closer to the action. There was also talk of the umbrulla canopy roof upgrades which would protect the fans from the elements. I don't know if South Florida will be awarded the 50th anniversary Super bowl but I sure hope to see those stadium improvements now that the Marlins have moved out. Mike Dee mentioned trying to get tax dollars to help make stadium improvements but after the Florida Marlins' mugged the City of Miami, I dought there will be any tax dollars awarded to any South Florida sports organizations for a while. Jeff Ireland prepares for the 2012 NFL Draft and new Head Coach Joe Philbin has assembled a great cast of assistant coaches. I'm looking forward to a great draft with an improved offensive scheme which results in a playoff birth. Go Dolphins…
