2011 Web Weekend Pics

Thank You, Miami Dolphins...

The Senior Director of Internet and Publications, Scott Stone and the Manager of Internet and Publications, Rodney Wood invited Webmasters who operate Miami Dolphin fan Websites from around the country to participate in WebWeekend. The week started off on Friday, September 16th with a VIP invitation to the WebWeekend Meet and greet session held at Duffy's in Plantation. On Saturday morning September 17th the webbies supported the Miami Dolphins Special Teams with their volunteer efforts at Feeding South Florida in Hallendale. The webbies sorted through donted items and packaged food and other dry goods for needy families in South Florida.

On Saturday evening the webbies met at the Miami Dolphins Training Facility in Davie Florida. We were treated to a tour of the training facility which included the players locker room and meeting rooms and weight training facility. The Miami Dolphins also provided dinner in the players lounge followed by some senior executive guest speakers like; Senior Vice President of Public Affairs, Adam Grossman and Head Coach Tony Sparano. The evening was MC'd by Jesse Agler of the Finsiders. Coach Sparano gave us some information about where the organization is right now and his expectations of this team going forward.

Adam Grossman opened the discussion by thanking the webbies for undying support of the Miami Dolphins Organization and extended an invitation to the webbies visiting from out of town to contact him with any ideas to create additional support of the team while on the road playing in other cities around the country. Adam also discussed some of the recent marketing decisions to celebrate our professional team partners along with our collegiate partners here in the state of Florida. The Miami Dolphins are looking forward to the possibility of stadium improvements which would include the addition of the umbrulla concept which would provide shade for the fans and the possibility of bringing the lower level seating closer to the field to enhance the gameday experience.

On Sunday morning, game day. The Webbies met at Duffy's in Plantation Florida to take the bus down to the stadium, where we were guests of the Nat Moore's BBQ Bash Party Zone. We all enjoyed some lunch before going on a pre game access tour. The Miami Dolphins also provided pre-game field passes to get some great pictures of the players during warmup. We were provided club level seating courtesy of the Miami Dolphins Organization and the weekend drew to a close with the Miami Dolphins win over the visiting Houston Texans.

Thanks again... Adam Grossman, Scott Stone, Rodney Wood and the entire Miami Dolphins organization for your hospitality and generosity. You are truly a class act organization.
